Friday - When You Come Into the Land - (Deut. 26:1 ) Arrive in Israel to be met and assisted at Ben Gurion airport by your ITC guide. See the famous Rappaport sculpture, "Scrolls of Fire," an artistic rendition of Jewish and Israeli history. Ascend to Jerusalem and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Hotel check-in. Our preparation for Shabbat takes us to the Western Wall for a Kabbalat Shabbat experience that will live on in your memory for years to come. We share in a delicious Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

Shabbat - Shabbat in Jerusalem Enjoy early morning Shabbat Services in Jerusalem. Directions to local Synagogues provided. Mid morning walking tours in the Old City of Jerusalem. Explore the wonderful fortress that houses the Jerusalem Museum at the Tower of David to learn about the history of Jerusalem throughout the ages. Walk through the colorful Arab Shuk (market) and tour the Old City's Jewish Quarter. Return to our Hotel for a scrumptious Lunch. Afternoon at leisure for Shabbat rest or time to visit with family and friends. Havdalah with your guide. Free evening "out on the town" in Jerusalem.

Sunday - Jerusalem Old and New In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Western Wall's massive foundation stones. Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and take a virtual, computerized "walk" through the Jerusalem Temple at the Davidson Center. Visit the unforgettable Memorial Museum and Children's Memorial at Yad Vashem. Walk through the haunting Valley of the Communities and participate in a moving "Yizkor" service. Travel through time at the captivating Jerusalem Time Elevator multi-media production for an impressive overview of Jerusalem history. Meet with the rabbi to go over details for tomorrow's Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Dinner at Little Italy Restaurant.

Monday - Freedom Fighters or Fanatics? Early departure for Masada - Visit the New welcome center which offers a short movie, a model of Masada, some of the newly discovered artifacts, a photo gallery, and a store. Ascend by cable car to the mountain fortress of Masada for a tour of this amazing excavation and a discussion of the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times. Join together in Masada's ancient 2000 year old synagogue for a compelling Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony. Continue to the amazing Dead Sea for a special surprise. Return to Jerusalem. Enjoy a delicious dinner at Ima's Mediterranean Restaurant.

Tuesday - Digging Israel This morning we can volunteer for an hour or two at Yad L'Kashish: where hundreds of Jerusalem's elderly and disabled have the opportunity to remain an integral part of society, by providing them with work opportunities in a variety of handicraft workshops, including ceramics, needlework and silk-printing. Stop at the Latrun IDF Armored Corps center to climb on the tanks and to learn about the battles that secured the road to Jerusalem. Uncover actual artifacts as you participate in an ongoing archeological dig - the "Dig for a Day" program at Tel Maresha. "Cave crawl" also available for the adventurous. Evening: enjoy a guided visit to the Israel Museum, including the Shrine of the Book, the children's wing (optional) , and art and archeology exhibits. Free time for supper (on your own) at one of the museum's eateries.

Wednesday - Foundations of the Modern State Leaving Jerusalem in the morning, we arrive first in Tel Aviv At Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion's moving declaration of the State. Visit the wonderful excavations of ancient Caesarea, including an impressive amphitheatre and aqueduct and the newly-opened multi-media center, where ancient history comes to life. Pass through Haifa on the way to Akko a city of fascinating historical heritage, a rare blend of East and West, authentic sights from the past, a unique meeting place of art and religion alongside the remains of various cultures - all these have made Acre one of the most important cities of the ancient world. Rosh Hanikra is the northernmost point on the Mediterranean shore of Israel, where a chalk mountain range meets the sea. The sea carved out a chain of grottoes in the foot of the chalk cliffs. Throughout human history, Rosh HaNikra served as a passage point for trade caravans and armies between Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Egypt, and Africa. The British dug a tunnel through the nearby rocks for trains on what was the Cairo-Istanbul railway. Enjoy a Lake Kinneret boat ride followed by a delicious lakeshore dinner at Decks Restaurant.

Thursday - In the Footsteps of Kabbalists and Pioneers Plant a tree as a family in Israeli soil, in honor or in memory of a loved one. Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of the mystical city of Tzefat. Gain a deeper understanding of the Golan Heights, as you cross the Jordan River and climb by bus to the Golan. Hear the story of the most expansive land battle in the world, which took place here during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Travel through the Golan by jeep, off the beaten track. Enjoy home hospitality with families on Kibbutz Lavi and hear about the joys and challenges of maintaining a Galilee kibbutz today. Luscious lakeshore dinner at the Chinese Pagoda.

Friday - The Delights of Eilat Take a morning flight to Eilat from Haifa or Rosh Pina. Board a luxury touring yacht at the Eilat marina for a leisurely cruise and lunch on the Red Sea. Snorkeling equipment is available for those who would like to get "up close and personal" with the most exquisite coral reefs and tropical fish to be found in the world. Enjoy a delicious Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

Shabbat - Shabbat in Eilat Optional Shabbat Services available at local Synagogues - Spend the day at leisure sampling the delights of Eilat, including beautiful beaches, your hotel's spa facilities, the new "Kings City" biblical theme center, water-skiing, paddle boats, wind-surfing, banana boats, snorkeling, a swim with the dolphins, or scuba- and "snuba"-diving to get up close and personal with Red Sea coral and fish (extra charges apply for some of these activities). Sunday - A Temporary Departure Tour the Timna Copper Mines and the spellbinding King Solomon's Pillars and marvel at the huge, multi-colored rock formations. Visit the Underwater Observatory, one of the largest underwater sea-aquariums in the world, built into a coral reef. Board late afternoon/early evening flight from Eilat to Tel Aviv. Depart Israel on overnight flight to USA.
